New Camera Experiments

By Mac on May 14, 2011 in Photographs, Photography

Since my arthritis and other issues have recently worsened, I’ve decided to give up on my heavy digital SLR, at least for now. Last week I picked up a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5, a display model from Kenmore Camera. While it is a light-weight, compact camera, it is exceedingly customizable and has full manual menus.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting experimental photos from my camera as I learn its ins and outs.

Perhaps not artifact. There’s a solar phenomena known as ‘Green Flash’ which happens just as sun drops under horizon. It’s wicked rare, as I understand it — meteorological conditions have to be Just Right. That looks like just about the right color of green. If so, your timing was totally awesome.
