I will be posting much more of this set later, but found this one on the first pass-through and fell in love.

Since my arthritis and other issues have recently worsened, I’ve decided to give up on my heavy digital SLR, at least for now. Last week I picked up a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5, a display model from Kenmore Camera. While it is a light-weight, compact camera, it is exceedingly customizable and has full manual menus.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting experimental photos from my camera as I learn its ins and outs.

Print Sale

Mac on September 21, 2010 in Photography No Comments »

I have a bunch of prints left over from my show at Metrix Create:Space.  Since I need to raise some funds, I thought I would post them here for sale.

Framed prints from the first set, except “Looming” are unmatted 8×10 prints framed in black plastic document frames with a glass front.  “Looming” is an unmatted 8×12 framed in a 11×14 “floating” frame, with acrylic on both sides and a thin black metal border.

Unframed prints in the second set are 8x10s with no framing or matting.  In addition, all prints can be ordered as unframed prints, though there will be a delay while new prints are ordered.  NOTE:  Anything marked SOLD can still be ordered as an unframed print.

Prices without shipping are $29 for framed prints and $20 for unframed prints.  These are special prices only for this sale.

Shipping for up to four framed prints to anywhere in the United States via Priority Mail with delivery confirmation is $11.  Shipping for an unlimited amount of unframed prints in the United States via Priority Mail with delivery confirmation is $5.  Mixed shipments will be charged the framed price.  International shipping will need to be individually calculated.  All items must be shipped to a PayPal confirmed address.

All Washington state purchases will include sales tax.  Purchases from the Seattle area can be set for pick up locally, without shipping fees.

To order send  an email to print-sale at pixy sticks dot net (removing the spaces and using the appropriate symbols) and I will invoice you via PayPal.  Please include your choice of prints, your name and address, and your preferred shipping method.  Please note if you want new unframed prints.

All prints on hand will be shipped within two business days of the payment clearing PayPal.  New prints will be shipped within a week of your order.

Thanks for looking!

Window on Another World #2

Quote of the Moment

I loathe the expression "What makes him tick." It is the American mind, looking for simple and singular solution, that uses the foolish expression. A person not only ticks, he also chimes and strikes the hour, falls and breaks and has to be put together again, and sometimes stops like an electric clock in a thunderstorm.
